This outstanding comic (and ex-Southend goalkeeper!)
hurtles us through an ad-libbed riot of exuberant, loose-limbed
physical comedy; full of extraordinary caricatures and stunningly
acute impressions. Combine that with a fearless onstage presence,
unshakeable confidence and his streetwise hyperactive delivery,
Terry always leaves his audience exhilarated and exhausted with
laughter.
Peek inside the Technicolor mind of one of Britain’s
finest comic talents and, find him desperately doing battle with all the
strange and hilariously unpredictable demons, that have decided to set up
home there.
Terry is a popular choice in the world of comedy, and
regularly treads the boards all over the globe. Leading him to
perform along side some of comedies biggest international stars.
Recently working with Joan Rivers and Eddie Izzard who proclaimed
him to be a ‘very funny comic with a ‘fantastic comedy mind’, but
someone who really ought to seek some sort of professional help.
Terry starred in SKY One’s The Match 2004, a regular fire
fighter in ITV1's London Burning in 2002, and also hosted in his own
radio show, ‘Terry's Turnstiles’ on London's Capital Radio FM.

Short Backgrond History
I was born at Rochford Hospital Southend to Sandy And Brian
Alderton. I
have a sister Corinna She lives in Lincolnshire with my Nephew Jack And
her partner Andy. I was born at Rochford Hospital, and lived in
Southend for 4 years ( Hence I am an Avid SOUTHEND UNITED FAN, who I
was lucky enough to play for as a Youth, and later on! but we will
come to that.) After a short stay in Halstead in Essex, we then moved to
South Woodham Ferrers near Chemlsford in Essex. I went to two schools
while I lived there. Elmwood Juniors School and William De Ferrers
Secondary, where I learnt FU… My Best friend at school, and still is
James Andrews (Ernie, The Ern, or Fat basta…)
After leaving school I wanted to play football as I had been playing
for Southend as a Youth Player. Although I had had offers from QPR and
others I wanted to stay at The Shrimper’s which I did until they sent me
the letter. Saying Sorry But your Shit. I think it may have been the final
straw when playing in a friendly match in which I made a great save only
to concede a free kick, due to the fact I did a michael Jackson Moon walk
whilst still holding on to the ball. You must remember that these were in
the days when a Goal Keeper could only take six steps with the ball. So
the ref blew, they took the free kick from which they scored! And we lost
one zip. So I had to get a job and I worked at Ever Ready Batteries in
Southend for one week, then I worked at VISA Basildon for six months, Then
Bairstow Eve’s in South Woodham Ferrers for six months , then up to
London for one year working at Fresh Field solicitors in the print
room. Whilst there I was to do my first open spot at the age of eighteen
at the Joker Comedy Club Southend. The promoter of the Gig Colin Dench
suggested to me that I needed to do more gigs though! There was a new TV
channel starting and they were looking for contestants for a new talent
show. The channel was Sky and the show was Sky Star Search, and the host
Keith Chegwin. I auditioned in the west ends Dolmar warehouse in my lunch
break at Fresh Fields. A week later I got a call to ask me to Take
part in the heat. I travelled up to LWT with my Dad. It was great as I won
my heat, then I returned for the semi final where I won again this time
beating Chesney Halks (I Know!). By now I had left Fresh Fields and London
for the east coast and Lowestoft, where I continued work as a Holiday Camp
entertainer and comedian under the watchfull eye of Mark Brewer. Some how
this stood me in good stead for the final of Sky’s Star Search, as
I won the whole thing and four thousand pounds!
I then left the holiday centre and decided to work the London comedy
scene. At last people who understood me! And this is where I was to stay!
Up until now I have had an up and down career , Hollywood to Red alert
(well I didn’t Know did I) But aside all this I have had the most
amazing upbringing, and then in my adlut life it has gone from strength to
strength as I met my Best friend in the world and then on the 2nd of
September 2001 marred her. My Wife Dee and I are now Expecting a Baby in
the new year.!
So there you have it a very brief outline to where I am now.
Please
note: Most comedians are lazy incompetent sods, who can't read a train
timetable, or would pay 30 pieces of silver to appear on a pilot for a radio
panel show. Thus all line ups are subject to change.
Please check with the venue 24hrs prior
to the show for confirmation of line ups.
