Raymond Mearns, regular compere at
Jongleurs and the Stand, has been performing across Scotland, and beyond,
for more than a decade, since starting his career in Glasgow’s infamous
Comedy Cellar, at the time hosted by Ed Byrne.
Following a succession of sell out
one-man shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Magners Glasgow
International Comedy Festival , Raymond has made a smooth transition onto
the airwaves as a regular contributor to the Fred MacAulay Show
(BBC Radio). Additionally Raymond adopted a number of guises on the Live
Floor Show , (BBC1) throughout 2002-3. During 2005-6 Raymond has
appeared on shows as diverse as John Thompson Stands Up for Comedy
(Sky/Bravo) and The Smith Lectures (BBC Radio 2).
A successful actor to boot,
Raymond has worked twice with legendary director Ken Loach ( Aye Fond
Kiss and the upcoming These Times ), has appeared in ITV's Rebus
and was recently seen as Happy Boab in BBC Scotland's new comedy Legit.

Please
note: Most comedians are lazy incompetent sods, who can't read a train
timetable, or would pay 30 pieces of silver to appear on a pilot for a radio
panel show. Thus all line ups are subject to change.
Please check with the venue 24hrs prior
to the show for confirmation of line ups.
