| 'How
can you possibly expect me to write a thirty word synopsis about the only
show that will undoubtedly make you laugh so hard you’ll end up s****ing
your pants?'
Paul
began his stand up career in April 2004. At that time he was living with
his
Nan
,
having given away his flat in a pub quiz.
Paul
quickly established himself on the Scottish circuit and had a successful
run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2004 when he teamed up with comedy partner
Keir McAllister in “Rehab’s for Quitters.” Paul continued to
gig up and down the country before writing and performing in the 2005 Glasgow
Comedy Festival sell out show “Scotland 4 Australia 1”
which went on to have a further successful run in the Edinburgh Fringe.
However
this is the manic clown’s first foray into the Magners Glasgow
International Comedy Festival with a solo show and who knows what madness
awaits the paying punter.
He
raised his stock on the Scottish comedy circuit last year by finishing as
runner-up in the Scottish Comedian of the Year competition which saw him
secure a whole new legion of fans as well as win a part in BBC Radio
Scotland’s comedy series “Close.”
Paul
joined esteemed comedy-improv group Dance Monkey Boy Dance in August 2005
and performs with them at The Stand Glasgow every Monday. The show is in
development with the BBC.
Paul
and Keir were recently asked to write a comedy script for Kate Lawler for
an up-coming reality TV show. He can be seen gigging for The Stand, HaHa
Comedy and Last Laugh Comedy Clubs.
