Scottish Comedian of the Year 2006

Mark, 26, triumphed at the inaugural Scottish Comedian of the Year competition in September last year at a showcase event in Glasgow 's Old Fruitmarket in front of an esteemed panel of judges and an audience of over 300.

 In winning the contest he had to see off the efforts of comedians with vastly more experience and following from around the country.

With an effortless, likeable manner on stage and confident delivery, Nelson often has audiences laughing at things they know they really shouldn't be laughing at. 

In 2007 he performed his first ever one man show at the Glasgow Comedy Festival, a show which sold out 3 weeks in advance. He has also recently supported Andrew Maxwell at his sold out Glasgow show) and Mark Steel.

In 2008 he followed up his debut with his critically acclaimed and once  again sell out solo show Aftermath.

Mark is now in high demand as a speech writer and after dinner speaker.
