It's a show about the location of hell.
Is it spiritual, mental or physical? Does it have a capital, should it be
capitalised, and does it involve capitalism? All these questions asked and
more.
CANADIAN
Glenn Wool drew plaudits and punters alike at the Fringe in Edinburgh in
2006 with his switched on, intelligent show “You Don’t Go To Hell for
Eating Elephants.”
He
plunders the world wide web, newspapers and television news to provide
an intoxicating mix of intelligent, thoughtful, well-researched material
on the issues of the day, plus proper, punchy, often silly jokes.
He
bashes political un-correctness wherever he sees it and just for good
measure gives the over protective guardians of political correctness a
slap too. While this might all sound very weighty and worthy Woll is not
beyond getting down and dirty and offering up some grade-A filth just to
keep the tone hovering above gutter.
And
as proof of this you need only see the surprise finale of this show to
learn just how filthy this fellow can get.
Glenn
began his comedy career eight years ago in his home town of
Vancouver
.
He moved to
London
four years ago and quickly became one of the rising stars of the
London
comedy circuit eventually leading him to tour with Irish comedy superstar
Ed Byrne.
TV
Credits include The BBC Stand Up Show and BBC's Edinburgh Comedy has
starred on the BBC's Live Floor Show.
