Andrew recently played sell-out dates at
Dublin's Vicar Street Comedy Club. His performance was filmed and will be
edited for release on DVD in Ireland. ANDREW MAXWELL: LIVE AT VICAR STREET
will be in the shops in time for Christmas.
Andrew is currently shooting material for a series of travelogues around
Ireland for Guardian Unlimited called ANDREW MAXWELL`S ADVENTURES ROUND
IRELAND. The first three films can be found on www.guardian.co.uk. He has
just completed a final season of MAXWELL`S FULLMOONERS at London`s Comedy
Store which will transfer to this year's Edinburgh Festival alongside his
one-man show WAXIN'.
You can see him as a regular on RTE's THE PANEL, hosted by Dara O'Briain.
Andrew
has been prolific on the live and festival circuit performing to sell-out
houses and great acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival, The Amnesty / Channel
Four Secret Policeman's Ball (alongside Eddie Izzard, Chevy Chase and
Dylan Moran - "Maxwell turned it around... he made us feel part of an
event" THE TIMES), at the HBO US Comedy & Arts Festival in Las
Vegas (alongside Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock), The Soho Theatre,
Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival and the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival.
Andrew has won and been nominated for several awards including a Time Out
Live Award in the category of Best Stand-up, Loaded Magazine best stand-up
and Chortle Award for best contribution to the live comedy circuit.
An intrepid social commentator, Andrew is renowned for his unique blend of
comedy and socio-political observations. His first hour-long show,
"This Is My Hour", performed at the Edinburgh Festival 2004,
explored what you would say and do if you only had an hour left to live.
This show led to Andrew's participation in Channel Four / E4's "Kings
of Comedy" (a reality series that pitted veteran comedians against a
younger generation of stand-ups) which he subsequently won.

thought-provoking" Five Stars,THE SCOTSMAN

take time to see Andrew Maxwell" Five Stars, THE LIST
"A bright young comic, who will offer the fringe so much in the years
to come" Four Stars, SUNDAY EXPRESS
Please
note: Most comedians are lazy incompetent sods, who can't read a train
timetable, or would pay 30 pieces of silver to appear on a pilot for a radio
panel show. Thus all line ups are subject to change.
Please check with the venue 24hrs prior
to the show for confirmation of line ups.
